Well, this is certainly odd.
[Emmy stumbles a little as she appears in the lobby - understandable, really, given that she was stepping out of the Laytonmobile just a moment before. Much as she'd been paying more attention to Layton than her surroundings, she rather doubts that they're parked in a building. After all, they were supposed to be outside Misthallery, and who would put a town inside? Other than, well. Turning on her heel, she discovers that the Laytonmobile isn't even there behind her, anyway, and she promptly wheels around in a full circle to try to get a good look at her surroundings.]
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?

Excuse him as he wonders what the hell is going on.}

[She angles her voice higher than a normal Clive, even without the disguise, but... she does kind of sound like she might be male under all that, when she's not using the Emmy voice.]

Although I don't know why, I've seen stranger alternate universes... {Sigh.}

Well. Good for you, then. I don't see what's so bad about disguising myself like this - even Dimitri would never suspect that this was me. Otherwise he'd ask questions about whether I should take the risk of getting close to Layton.

[But, everything that she's doing... it's for her, and for father. They're the reason that she's doing all of this.
...she doesn't want Mother to see her like this, Clive realises. Even without the disguise, she's... not the way that Mother would remember, after all.]
I... I don't want to see her.

I didn't want to see her at first either.
I found that talking to her, though, helped a lot.
