{Suddenly, Clive! This is essentially what has just happened, as one second he was being led away from the wreckage of his machine by Inspector Chelmly, and now he's in a rather fancy looking lobby. What the heck.

He takes a few cautious steps, weary of his pounding head, and looks about.}

{He hears her, but doesn't really respond beyond an unintelligable mumble. He collapses onto the bed, barely having managed to get his shoes off, and he's asleep before his head hits the pillow.}
