[Don is still standing on his podium with his megaphone. He's discovered that he has a great fondness for yelling at people through megaphones and isn't about to quit.]
ATTENTION EVERYONE!
As per my announcement yesterday, the sign-ups to be in for the running for the chance to become Prime Minister of the Dressingroom are now closed.
I'm sure you'll all be pleased to know that we have three... ehhh... lovely candidates in for the running. They are as follows:
The female Layton (
puzzlingchest)
The male Descole (
sinisterballet)
The male Layton who wears a monocle (
monocle_layton)
The three of you have just less than a month to run your campaigns and convince the rest of us why we should vote for you. Then at a currently undisclosed time I will begin the election.
Farewell!
[He might have fallen off his podium at this point. Owie!]

[Even when he should be considering how many Clive's and Luke's there are, but Jean is always up for a challenge.]

You are a professor right?
no subject
A professor? Certainly. [Former professor, to be precise, but her strategy rather involves keeping that a secret.]

[Truthfully, Jean didn't know anything about campaigning but he was learning more and more each day. This excited him, in a strange sort of way. How fun.]
Well, Ms. Layton, then I shall not need to bid you good luck, if you have such an advantage.
[Gives a sly smile and a hand for her to shake.]

[She shakes the hand sharply, then pulls her own hand back. Just about resisting the urge to wipe it on her skirt.]
Yourself, on the other hand... well, I fear you'd need some kind of miracle to stand a chance, I'm afraid. I rather feel it's going to come down to myself and my double. We can at least count on the loyalty of our own doubles, I suppose...
[Hendel might not have set out to work out exactly what votes she's going to get, but that doesn't mean she isn't keeping a vague eye on the people Clive assures her she's won already.]

Well that's the fun of the game, isn't it? If you win though, I highly respect that on a moral standard. I truly do.
[Through his genuine smile, he runs a hand through his hair, think that he just doesn't want the monocle to win. Not after the horror stories he's heard, and he though his double should have run. Of course, she wouldn't. He did for them.]
There are a lot of Clives and Lukes who would probably agree with you, but we'll just have to see.

[Hendel is really not as safe a bet as she'd like people to believe. Although out of the two people who know that, one of them is directly aiding her and the other... well, any comments Monocle made could easily be passed off as some kind of smear campaign.]
There are a lot of them here, aren't there? And they all seem rather... attached. I suppose it's only concerning that my double has been here longer. It gives him more time to have gotten in with them.
[Take that as you will, all things considered.]

[His voice is harsh and almost guttural as he makes the statement. He takes that has everyone knows it.]
I, personally, would never give my vote to that man, and I'm going to make sure no one else does.
no subject
[She considers a little.]
...I suppose... well, if this place lets us vote, too... I'd vote for myself if I were able, of course, but if not then I suppose it's fitting that you could have my vote, in that case.

[Just anything not to let her double win. After what he had done to him, what he does, and what happened to his double, the same could easily happen to him. No one, picks on Jean Descole, as far as he's concerned. Truthfully politics don't matter to him, it's just the fight.]
I suppose we have to make a campaign, huh? [He half smiles with a shrug.] I'm not going to lie, I'm fairly new at this...
