Well, this is certainly odd.
[Emmy stumbles a little as she appears in the lobby - understandable, really, given that she was stepping out of the Laytonmobile just a moment before. Much as she'd been paying more attention to Layton than her surroundings, she rather doubts that they're parked in a building. After all, they were supposed to be outside Misthallery, and who would put a town inside? Other than, well. Turning on her heel, she discovers that the Laytonmobile isn't even there behind her, anyway, and she promptly wheels around in a full circle to try to get a good look at her surroundings.]
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?

It's fine, my boy. Though I am curious as to why you chose to dress as my assistant.

Emmy Altava isn't... actually a real person.
[She cringes a little at that 'my boy', too.]

[He's seen plenty of evidence supporting her definitely female attributes.]

Where I'm from, Emmy Altava has always been... well, me.

[She scratches the back of her neck awkwardly, trying to think of something to change the subject.]
...if I'm staying here, where can I live?

[Dammit, Monocle, at this rate half the Dressingroom is going to be sharing a room with you!]

...you mean that?

Oh, of course not! You said you were from when we just arrived in Misthallery. Well then, Luke is a young boy who stays with me as an apprentice. He's really no bother.

[Scratching at the back of her neck again, Clive glances up at him.]
Show me the way?

Very well, this will certainly prove to be interesting.

Ah... when you say I can stay with you... you have another room, then? I mean, there's only one bed.
no subject
Well, we could easily obtain another if you'd feel more comfortable that way.
