From what I gather, I believe our worlds split around the time that we start to torture Clive.

I'm not so sure of this. I've had this scar since before that, after all, and yet you're without it.

...Then tell me how long you've had the scar for.

Just before Clive first announced himself as leader of the resistance. May ninth, Tottenham Court Road. An unaffiliated group of rebels blew up the underground station, and a week later Clive publicly announced himself in order to denounce that group and their methods.

In that case, our worlds must have divided at a much earlier stage. Which makes us far too different for it to be worth you fathoming the situation further.

Not at all. He had quite minimal contact with the project up until it ceased.

Ahh. In my world, he had a habit of shoving knives into the gears whenever he managed to get in there without being caught. Which was often, despite everyone's best efforts.

He certainly does know how to keep himself occupied when not being monitored, that's for certain.

I think he was rather jealous of the project for stealing my attention from him. He also seemed rather... concerned by the idea of Claire returning.

No one was more concerned about that than I was, I can assure you.

[He snorts.]

I'm certain, yes. Albeit with a less... emphatic method of showing it than Clive.

That would be the case for many things, it would seem.

It's hard to react as emphatically as him, truth be told.
