Well, this is certainly odd.
[Emmy stumbles a little as she appears in the lobby - understandable, really, given that she was stepping out of the Laytonmobile just a moment before. Much as she'd been paying more attention to Layton than her surroundings, she rather doubts that they're parked in a building. After all, they were supposed to be outside Misthallery, and who would put a town inside? Other than, well. Turning on her heel, she discovers that the Laytonmobile isn't even there behind her, anyway, and she promptly wheels around in a full circle to try to get a good look at her surroundings.]
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?
no subject
No. I mean... he's welcome to ask, though in his case I'm sure that I would lie, but he never has done.
no subject
Anyway, just so you know, Layton and I where never involved.
no subject
Sure about that, Jean? Come now, I'm being perfectly honest with you now, and you won't even admit being with Layton to me. I mean, really, I'm a reporter.
no subject
Besides, Hershel is of no consequence to me anymore.
[Hm, that wording didn't come out like he'd planned.]
And you're around Layton often. Would you think he'd be the type to run off with a man I think not. Do I even seem like the type to run off with a man.
There. Perfectly honest.

As for the two of you... well, the professor seems the type to perhaps... indulge, with a man, although I'm not sure he'd really want to talk of it afterwards. Do you seem the type to run off with a man? Of course you do. I mean, look at what you're wearing.
[Says the one dressed as Emmy Altava.]
no subject
Touche...though compared to what you're wearing, engarde.
Yeah you're right Hershel is certainly one to indulge in a man.
no subject
[She laughs as soon as she says it, though.]
Not that I don't like the look. It suits you, I think.
no subject
I've been in theater and performing arts my whole life. It makes sense when you think about it.
no subject
I did drama at school, myself, only dropped it because I needed other subjects more to help with my plans.
no subject
Why am I telling you this? Damn, do I really need to defend my clothing choice that bad?
no subject
Ballet? I assume you didn't wear a tutu, at least.
no subject
No, ballet is an art form. I had to wear a lot of suits actually. It wasn't there to embarrass me.
[Though it would be a lie if he said he wasn't. He told himself he wouldn't tell anyone. Dammit.]
no subject
Nice blush there, Jean.
no subject
You better shut up before I make you. I'm trying to educate you about theatre here.
no subject
no subject
You know, it's demeaning to acquaint homosexuality with theatre.
Besides, you're still the one wearing girls clothes.
no subject
no subject
Not like I ever wore this in ballet...
no subject
And not having worn it in ballet doesn't make it any manlier.
no subject
And this is just all the time!
[It's apparent that Jean is sensitive about his minimal masculinity.]
no subject
...well, if I ever meet an Emmy Altava who isn't a fabrication, I'll have to tell her what you think of her outfit, won't I?
no subject
Though that comment was specifically to you. Are you wearing make up? Jeez, you're the whole package. Is that mascara on your eyelashes?
no subject
What? I had to make sure Layton wouldn't suspect anything, and my eyelashes aren't girlish enough on their own.
