Well, this is certainly odd.
[Emmy stumbles a little as she appears in the lobby - understandable, really, given that she was stepping out of the Laytonmobile just a moment before. Much as she'd been paying more attention to Layton than her surroundings, she rather doubts that they're parked in a building. After all, they were supposed to be outside Misthallery, and who would put a town inside? Other than, well. Turning on her heel, she discovers that the Laytonmobile isn't even there behind her, anyway, and she promptly wheels around in a full circle to try to get a good look at her surroundings.]
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?
Professor Layton!?
...anyone?

I was looking for a way out. I don't suppose you have any information on that...and who else is here? Do you know?

Is Layton here? I wonder if he knows me.

Hm, I wonder if the Layton's know me.

Well, I've been looking for a way back home, but supposedly the doors to the outside don't work. I take it you don't have much information on anything.

Hm, I find it funny that you would.

[He smirks mischievously.]
I wonder if I can change that.

I think we can be good friends.

[She shrugs.]
I'm sure that we could be, though, yes.

Well let's start over, Miss. I am Jean Descole.
[He takes her hand and kisses it gently.]
And you?
no subject
Emmy Altava. Though presumably you knew that?
no subject
What are you talking about? We haven't met!
[He takes her hand and half smiles.]
So, tell me about yourself Ms. Altava

And please, call me Jean.
[What a good way to switch things up.]

I'll tell anything that you want to know, within reason. Just ask away.

So you're close to Layton, then?
no subject
Are you? If you work in archaeology, that is.
no subject
I guess you can say I'm close enough. I knew him when we were very young.
