[Claire had been on her way to the labs, when she'd absentmindedly started looking through the window of a hat store she past everyday to look at that one particular top hat on display that she was particularly fond of. Shaking her head, she turned back to find that her route was... not the same as it had been. No longer was she walking down the street, or was even outside, but in what looked like the corridor of a hotel.
She was understandably confused by this.]
Wh-what's going on here?
[OOC: Have a pre-canon Claire. She's just recently started working at the labs and has met Layton but hasn't started dating him yet.]

Oh god lol.
Of course he's going to see you.}
C-claire?

Oh, um, hello there! Are you one of the students from Gressenheller? I... don't think I've seen you about before, but you seem to know me so I apologise for that.

Poor Poor Dimitri
[Raspy and confused;] Claire...

[Turns to face him, then instantly her hands clasp to her mouth. She looks shocked to see him so much older than she's used to and her voice falls to a whisper.]
...Is th-that you?
no subject
Yes...yes it's me. Oh god...and it's you!
no subject
Y-yes, it's me. But why do you look so... different? You, um, didn't look that way yesterday?
no subject
You don't know where you are...this place takes people from all different dementions and different times. It's me...just a little older...
no subject
So you mean to say that the time machine worked?
no subject
This place has nothing to do with our time machine. This place...is an anomaly.
no subject
[She's a little disappointed by that.]
So, um, you're Dimitri from the future. Do we... ever manage to finish the time machine or are you not allowed to tell me that?
no subject
I shouldn't tell you, but I'll give you a hint: it's amazing what scientific minds can accomplish when they work together.
[And all he can do is give her a smile.]
no subject
That's wonderful to hear, I'm so happy that the three of us managed to create something that could change society so much. Especially after you put so much work into it, Dimitri.
no subject
Yes, I suppose we all worked so hard, huh?
no subject
[She wouldn't say that secretly she feels Bill isn't devoting a lot to the project, that would be impolite.]
It's just a shame that you're stuck here now, so you can't see the differences it's making to society. Um, assuming we are stuck here?
no subject
Well, no ones found a way out yet. It's a little concerning. It's also hard to find what to do. I ran into Clive and we've been constructioning toys, because the both of us are at a loss of what to do here.
But considering this may be like a worm hole, there's bound to be a way out.
no subject
So... can I come with you for the moment? I have no idea where to go here and you seem to have been here for at least a little while.
no subject
Of course you can. That's why I came over here. We're friends right?
no subject
[Looks around.]
So where do we go, exactly?
no subject
no subject
That's not inappropriate at all, I know you're a good man and not some sort of pervert. I'd feel better knowing that a friend's close by.
no subject
[He walks her to his room, where the bed is made, there's a large bathroom and a large window to an outside they can't get to. He sighs as he looks to his desk messy with papers and gadgets.]
This is where I'm staying.
no subject
It looks nice.
[Notices the papers on the desk.]
Same old Dimitri; always caught up in your work, aren't you?
no subject
Yeah, that's...that's me.
[He snickers lightly a little embarrassed.]
no subject
[Trying to look over his shoulder.]
no subject
[Oh god, please don't look.]
no subject
[She reaches past to grab one of the doodles.]
no subject
[Blushing;] Okay, let's not keep looking at my boredom.

[Jeez, how much more awkward could this get? He just wants her to believe him. He's so worried about pushing her away accidentlu. He finally just got her back, she could leave again.]
no subject
You're really bad at coming up with excuses, you know. But I kind of like that. [Giggling a little.]
no subject
Well, what story would you like me to give? That one, that's more reasonable, or this one: I was thinking about you, and thought I'd sketch you.
[Well that's how's artists did it right?]
no subject
no subject
[His blush was now turning his face into a tomato. Had she noticed?]
no subject
But you're blushing! Um, in the future... do you and I...?
no subject
Oh, no. No, you find prince charming. Heh, I'm really shy showing my art, is all. They're not very good doodles.
no subject
[She looks away for a moment, then she glances back.]
Can I... keep this one? I really like it.
no subject
[He answers her with a smile, that widens as she gives a strange look.]
You seem disappointed...any reason?
no subject
[She folds the picture up and puts it in her pocket.]
Heh, maybe the idea of dating just seems odd. I doubt I'd have time outside of work.
no subject
Well of course I don't expect you to know right now, but you will.
[He let's out an embarrassed snicker. He was never this awkward in front of Claire. It must have been something to do with her not knowing anything. It hurt pretty bad.]

But I don't know if you can change the future or past. Physics seem it impossible.

Truthfully, without Bill, I'd say we're more a team. I figure I can say that since we're in a time anomaly.
