budding_science: For when she's confused or, well, pretty much an "indifferent" icon. (Huh?)

[Claire has been working on her investigation into Twister's murder. She's complied a list of notes about what she has discovered so far. It reads as follows:

- After being cleaned up, the body was found to have several gash marks on it's chest. Some kind of animal?
- Luke seems to think that it might have been a person trying to convince us it was an animal by fabricating the extent of the wounds.
- Regardless, he definitely died by being stabbed through the heart.
- Ms. Layton has laid a claim to taking over as Prime Minister soon after the death. She is a suspect.
- Talking to Clive has shown that Prime Minister Twister killed him before all this happened. This isn't relevant to the case? Unless it pins Clive as a suspect.
- Don Paolo claims to be the last person to have seen Twister before he died. He says he witnessed him talking to a Clive he was unfamiliar with in the lobby.
- Talk to the Clives to find out if any of them were with Twister on the day of the murder?
- Don't bother with that one annoying Clive until it becomes unavoidable.

She's frowning. Talking to all of the Clives would take ages... Feel free to give her some advice, whether you fall into the Clive category or not.]

[Like a few of the other residents, Claire has discovered Monocle's body lying in the lobby. In response to this, she has decided to investigate the corpse for any clues as to what might have happened to it.]

What could possibly have made injuries like this...?

[Feel free to help or hinder her.]

[Claire has been trying to get on with her work on the time machine. However, she keeps being interrupted by a tall stag that has insisted on following her around. At first, of course, she was scared of this creature, but after a while she came to the conclusion that it simply wanted to watch her and has gone back to trying to work.

Unfortunately, the stag is rather affectionate and keeps butting her arm away as she tries to work.

She laughs.]

Stop it; you're more like a dog than anything else, aren't you?

[Claire had been sent to the DR pretty early on in her career as a scientist working with Dimitri and Bill. She hadn't even started dating Layton at the time, so for the moment her whole life seemed to revolve around her job. Because of this, being trapped in another dimension with nothing much to do had left her quite bored. So she'd started doing the one thing that she had vowed to do back at home anyway...

...She was working on a time machine.

Her progress was of course slow and limited to what she could find around the DR, but she was determined that over time it might be successful.

Anyone who wants to can feel free to stop to talk to her in her little lab~]

[Claire had been on her way to the labs, when she'd absentmindedly started looking through the window of a hat store she past everyday to look at that one particular top hat on display that she was particularly fond of. Shaking her head, she turned back to find that her route was... not the same as it had been. No longer was she walking down the street, or was even outside, but in what looked like the corridor of a hotel.

She was understandably confused by this.]

Wh-what's going on here?

[OOC: Have a pre-canon Claire. She's just recently started working at the labs and has met Layton but hasn't started dating him yet.]
